PRAYER:  Criminal  Original  Petition  is  filed  under  Section  482  of 
Cr.P.C, to call for the records in connection with the impugned FIR in 
Crime No.1417 of 2009 on the file of the first respondent Police and 
quash the same insofar as the petitioner is concerned.

This  Criminal  Original  Petition  has  been  filed  to  call  for  the 
records in Crime No.1417 of 2009 on the file of the first respondent

Police and quash the same insofar as the petitioner is concerned.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that 
based on a complaint given by one Jose K.Mathew/second respondent 
herein, who is the Passport Authority, a case in Crime No.1417 of 2009 
was registered against the petitioner on the issue of altered entries in the 
Birth Certificate of the petitioner's son while applying for passport to his 
son. He further submits that it would suffice if this Court directs the first 
respondent Police to conclude the investigation within a time stipulated 
by this Court. 
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the 
first respondent Police submits that now the case has been transferred to 
the Inspector of Police, City Crime Branch, Madurai. 
4. In view of the submission made by both sides, this Court, 
without going into the merits of the case, directs the Inspector of Police, 
City  Crime  Branch,  Madurai,  to  conclude  the  investigation  in 
Crime No.1417 of 2009 within a period of 12 weeks from the date of 
receipt of a copy of this order.

5.  Accordingly, this Criminal  Original  Petition  is disposed  of.
